Director and producer Shirley Morris learned about the cowgirls who came west as ranchers and homesteaders and the women of the wild west shows. It has become her passion and heart to bring their stories to as many people who will listen. Their contribution to the history of the west along with what they have given generationally in spirit is important and she believes the courage, tenacity, strength and grit of these women has contributed, greatly and unselfishly to who we are as westerners and Americans. Women have achieved so much and in many ways it is because of the cowgirls of the west who, as stated in the film, ".... were more courageous than they had a right to be. Watch the trailer below!

WCM produces the Cheyenne International Film Festival and The Shoot Out Cheyenne 24 Hour Filmmaking Festival
as well as providing other digital media-related services. WCM doesn’t
directly save whales or protect children, but empowers others to attain
their goals and missions through training, digital media production
services, fiscal agency, live event planning and implementation through
social media marketing strategies.
Digital Media Production Services
WCM is a production company that can work within any budget and help
you meet your video production needs efficiently and with high
production value.
Social Media Marketing
WCM not only can produce top quality digital media that conveys your
message, WCM can help you get your message seen and heard through
harnessing social media like facebook, twitter and myspace. WCM can
work with you to meld social media marketing with your existing
advertising and outreach approaches.
Event Development and Implementation
WCM produces the annual Shoot Out Cheyenne 24 Hour Filmmaking festival
in the fall. The event attracted 21 film making production crews to
Downtown Cheyenne. The top 10 films were screened at the Lincoln
Theater.
Community-Based Training and Out of School Learning
WCM provides training services to students of all ages in Southeast
Wyoming and beyond. Training may be on an individual basis or for
groups.
Fiscal Agency – Co-Production – Event Production
WCM
sponsors and co-produces projects for individuals or organizations
without 501(c)(3) status. Non-profit status provides many benefits:
productions be covered under the WCM liability insurance, be eligible
for grants from foundations and the government, investors in your
project can enjoy a tax exempt donation as allowed by law.
